Relivin’ it?

"You know, say what you will about the ravages of sports in this corporate age where overpaid athletes expect prima donna treatment, but there's still something so unifying about sporting in its purest form -- when athletes rise above themselves and touch greatness, and in doing so remind us all that we all have greatness inside of us." – Mouth of One Tree Hill

Gotta watch this video of One Tree Hill…Waaaaaaa

While watching it, I remembered basketball again. *awww* Hahaha

(I know. I know. I’ve been talking about football these days.)

However, when I watched the Raven’s State Championship game…Gah! Had goose bumps! Seriously! Felt the rush of bball again. Awww…relivin’ the moments of my bball days.  (tagal na noon ah) I miss playing it! Argh! And I also remembered the UAAP days with my friends watching the games live! Haha especially when DLSU won and Casio’s crucial 3-point shot! How can I forget that? Waaa champions! (You win games inside the court not outside!) haha still believe that we are the champs! Games…surreal!!! oh.. how I miss cutting classes (haha) just to go to the games for some excitement, adrenalin, cheers and all the bashing too! good ol days?...woot woot!

Adding to this bball… slight fever whatever you call it…I was able to talk to a former teammate online too. She was asking me to also join the team and train with other people for a summer tournament. I wanted to but… never mind. Haha if it was all Zobel GBT, maybe I’d join. But it’s not…so maybe next time…

Ahhh…basketball…

But… just when I thought bball is back again with me…

Football comes back! haha

At the end of the day, my god brother went here to give me a Sunday Inquirer Magazine. (oh… here’s a link: http://showbizandstyle.inquirer.net/sim/sim/view_article.php?article_id=56836) To my surprise, it was an article about Phil! Nice one! But a funny cover picture though! (sorry, Phil) Haha  Well, Aaron and I talk about what’s up with football most of the time. He told me to why don’t I just play the game too. uh, hello? I love the game but I can’t play it though. Hehe …Oh. I also remembered that the first ball that I had...given by my parents was a football ball and not a basketball ball. Some history there huh? Haha labo! Nuff about that!

So, I told him that there’s a Futsal tournament this April at Festi. He didn’t even know it. So, he told his coach about it and there… they’ll be joining. Also, there are other coming footy events with some people around (?). Now, I’m thinking if I’ll watch the games…hmmm…looking forward to it. haha

 Awww…good times…

Basketball? Football?

Love ‘em both.

Some Lazy (Bum) Days

There are times that I get so lazy and do unproductive things. Dagger! (Oh well…bumness…) When it’s a lazy day, I don’t do the usual things…I even get lazy to exercise too…and eat plenty...haha

Last week, I was able to get copies of new episodes of One Tree Hill (thanks, Nina) and Grey’s Anatomy (thanks, Ate Che) (who has Prison Break new eps??? Share!!!). So, what do you think I’ll do with that? Of course, series marathon in the morning and in the afternoon! Enjoyed watching it (while eating…hahaha) where there were good quotes and songs that I got. (I’ll share it with you guys next time.) Just watching those series… You feel good…scared…giddy with some OTH eps while with GA, you feel good and giddy too…but teary eyed with some scenes…hayyy…don’t ask me why…nuff about that!

And then…in the evening… I read the book given by my best friend, Gal On The Go by Sarah Matias. You guys have to read it especially those who are busy with work and all…like what Bwes said, “There’s more to life than work”…nice one! I think I just spent 3 - 4 hours reading the book. (Bwes, I felt the rush and enjoyed it. wahahaha) Can’t even put the book down...I don’t wanna say what I think about the book…baka ano pa masabi ko…wahahaha but it’s a feel good book…just had to share this from the book…

“”No Belle, listen. Please.” He squeezed my hand a little bit tighter and moved in a little bit closer. He took a deep breath. “Please take this risk with me. I don’t know what will happen to us, and I certainly cannot promise you that I will not make you cry, or make you so mad at me at times that you would just want to kill me right then and there. All that I can promise you is that I am sticking with you no matter how many times and how hard you drive me away because I love you, you’ve always been the one who has my heart and you will always have it and I’d rather have you throw it away or burn it than give it back to me. There is now one else in this world I want to come home to but you, Belle, and I am hoping that you want to come home to me too.””

Cheekee?

yeah…but nice. Haha

ah...lazy day? But at least I learned some things. Haha labo!

*Bumness*

…still 23! haha

*Just short…just wanted to post the pictures…haha*

Before meeting the barkada, I was able to hang with Bwes. (Gah! I got there early. haha) We went around first just to check out some things. After that, we ate at Gerry’s (she wanted some sisig.)... Actually, she’s the only one whose suppose to eat but then we just ate together...then went around. Basta all kakulitan all the time. (oh, I got my grad and bday gft already! Yay!) Then she had to go.

So I just went to church alone… ahh... feels really good when you are at peace…Prayed the rosary and  attended the mass.

Then…at last! Haha labo! …Was able to celebrate my birthday with the barkada last night! We weren’t complete (what’s new? haha) but it was fun. So many kwento’s here and there again…kakulitan.

Then we had dessert at Fuzion. Well, we actually wanted the sit on those beds eh… so that’s why we went there…haha and to try something new too. We tasted each others drinks…haha ang kulit!

And when the mango crepe was served, everyone just dug in to it! haha

So there… bday celebration again...haha

kada, oh ano na? Galera? Game! Tara! Haha

*sana lang matuloy...haha*

Bum - Out

As many of you know…I’m such a BUM right now.  But I’m enjoying and loving it.

If there’s a chance for me to go OUT, I’d take it right away!

Lately, I always talk and see my best friend.  We’ve already seen each other thrice!  Record breaking?!  Haha  It’s really something!  It’s because we see each other usually twice a year (for our birthday and holiday celebrations).  Where so best friends noh?  But now, since I’m not busy with anything at all…and her schedule is sort of flexible(?)…  we see more often!  Yay!  Haha  We were able to celebrate the (overdue) holidays…my grad thing and our birthday thing!

Treat me. Treat you.  But where’s my gifts???  Haha

What else?  Ahh… I always look forward the weekends.  It’s the time that I usually go out …go around and shop…watch movie and do the groceries with my mom and sister.  Other than that… I am here.  Stuck at home.  YM and reading several forums.  And also, I’ve been researching and planning some trips that I HOPE and PRAY that ALL will push through and HAPPEN.

Oh please… just before I go to that real world, I hope I can travel and just have fun with family and friends.

And to end this blog, even if the bumness is all over me.. I still get some surprises… Never thought of things that can happen even though you feel it can happen. Bwes and I was just walking around GB3…and to my surprise… we saw Phil and Matty (I knew they were here in the country  but wasn’t expecting to see them in person!) nice surprise gift bwes?  (but it would have been better if it was JYH8!!!...how I wish…) hahaha *wonderful crazy*

Graduating: Pinnacle of everything you’ve done in school

Reality is really kicking in…now. *sucks*

These past few weeks, I’ve been experiencing what the real world kinda looks like. I was able to pass my résumé’s to several companies and meet new people too. There were already tests and interviews that I was able to go to. Though I think it was great to experience all of it, I think I’m still not ready for work…haha

Anyway, we had one whole day just for the graduation preparation. Got the toga in the morning and passed some résumé’s. But Janet and I got lazy in staying at school so we went to Mall Of Asia. We went around then finally decided to eat at Mediterranean Café. *sarap naman*. Haha Then we went back to school for class picture and grad practice which were all tiring!

Some of the last days in school were really just spent to have pictures with your friends. Haha

Aww butas gurls (minus ira)...

zobel friends...

TLC friends...

Onto the big day? Graduation day? Haha oh…pictures...with my mom and sister!

*missing my daddy…:(*

It was fun graduating with your friends and blockmates. And oh…Instead of taking a bow, we did the curtsy! Wahahaha pasaway! And it all started with us… Pictures were just everywhere… with friends…

blockmates…LIA-COM people...

butas people? haha

After that, our family ate lunch at Saisaki Makati…(hmm.. good all days? butas? Haha)… oh…I got my grad gifts too! Yay!

Well, another chapter has ended…wow! 5 years in college! I survived?! Couldn’t have survived college years without God, Family, kada, bwes, butas family and all the people that I’ve met. Friendship and all… thank you! (you know who you are)

But then… there’s a new chapter in life to start… now na? haha nah…I’ll just enjoy first of being a bum and enjoy my summer! Then…that’s when I’ll face the real world. Haha

To end this blog, my sister and I watched the movie Goal!... (football na naman?! haha..nah.) oh now I appreciate and understand more all about the mates and footy. Hahaha *wonderful crazy* But the thing that struck me with the movie… and what I think is also the message for me was the line in the movie by Glen Foy, “He’s probably watching you right now!” I know it is such a simple line. But it did hit me!

All along…when I look back all the things that I have done and have been doing…All the hardships and stress in school … with the papers, projects, profs, friends and the people around me…All the things that I’ve learned…all the things that I did…makes me all happy because I know that even if there is a part of me that is missing… I know I made him all proud of me.

“He’s probably watching you right now!”

That line…

that’s for me…

I know my dad is watching over me…and he’s happy for me.

Struggling at 23!

If you stop struggling, then you stop life.
-- Huey Newton

I’m 23.

college graduate.

bum.

frustrated traveler…

and struggling in life.

But life goes on…

All along I thought that I was only 21 when I am asked by people about my age. Not because I am making my self younger and all…but the truth is, I really thought that I was 21. (Seriously? Seriously!) Little did I know that I am already 22…then now 23? Gah!!! Can’t believe it! But fine. Whatever. Labo! Haha (getting older means getting a lot of wisdom too.)

My birthday day…haha

I started my day with low spirit. Maybe because I’m not really a morning person. I had to wake up early because we had plans for the day. Plus, the fact that even though my mom and my sister greeted and kissed me for my birthday, I still miss those of my dads…hay… doesn’t feel like its my birthday (wasn’t really counting on my birthday too).

Anyway, we had lunch with some close family friends of mom at Antipolo. (argh…dagger! Such a far place and I was not really even up for it!). It has been decades that they haven’t seen each other. It was fun…there were lots of food and the people who were present were warm and funny too. Also, the 2 members (drummer and bassist) of the family are from Stonefree band (I really like their song, the only song that I know from them, Listen.). We even had pictures taken with Rely, godson of my mom, inside their studio.

(Rely, Tita Nel, Mom and I)

From Antipolo, we went to Makati. Together with my mom and my sister, we walked around to find the Rada St. for a job interview and test that I had to go to. After that, we went to see a movie, The Pursuit of Happyness. (Gahh!!! It’s not at all a happy movie. It’s a depressing one! I know it happens in reality but oh come on! It really is frustrating!!!)

After the movie, we went around greenbelt to look where we can have dinner for my kinda birthday celebration…haha

…ended up at The Red Crab - Seafood Club… (my choice) My mom, sister, Jim and I…all had buffet.

Got one of these…

and that…

and that… haha

The food was good…also, crabs were everywhere of course! It’s like bottomless crabs! Haha with funny big bibs while eating those.

(I just wore these bibs for picture taking purposes. Haha did not really wore those while eating...haha)

(we’re just messing up with each other)

There were some people who were there too…my guests for my birthday (aside from Stonefree band)??? Haha nah! Well…it’s just the whole Purefoods Team were there for dinner…nice! Haha (Oh …how I wish that it was another team or people part of the PBA (like you know who…haha) or another team of another sports…like footy, maybe? Haha)

Guess who’s this?...

controversial ah…haha trippings! Walang magawa eh… was so full na!

But it was fun looking at them eating with those bibs! Haha But how lousy! Looking at those tall guys… they don’t even take their bibs off when they go to the buffet table! (Uh, hello? you’re supposed to take that off!) hay…Tall guys walking around having their bibs with them. Crazy!

Anyway, I ended my dinner with some mango crepes!

Yum yum! Haha I even put some chocolates from the fondue and garnished it with little chocolates and marshmallows! Ahhh… Sarap!

Oh…adding to the celebration of my birthday... (I think its two weeks ago) together with other celebrants, I was prayed over by my Singles For Christ Family

and greeted by everyone in our Single’s Weekend Retreat.

So there’re my 23rd birthday...

oh well..

Though some things are different... and there are so many stuggles in life, I still find myself ...happy… and also, i’m still always thankful for all the blessings God has given me!

Without Him, would not survive 23 years (and counting) of my life.

Friends and Love

I really do not know where to start with this blog. There’s so much to say and I don’t even know how to put ‘em all together. But I guess, I’ll begin with the dinner that I had with my ever dearest…Kada! Haha We ate at Oody’s at GB3 a couple nights ago. some of us got there early while others came late. (Hmph. Haha joke!) it’s fine…that’s work. Have to really deal with that.

Everyone was then hungry…I guess hungry for food and hungry also for the news…or whatever that is. Haha I think it is because everyone was surprised with the text of Lea that we’ll all meet in the middle of the week. There were so many things that were revealed (naks!) that night! Wahahahaha

Friends…

have…Good and bad news about?

Love….

Let's see… good? Anu nga ba, Lea? Haha so many things had happened with her, good and bad…but in the end, she is happy. That’s what matters! When she was telling her story…everyone was so curious and giddy too? Haha wala lang… we’re just happy for you, Lea. Hope everything goes well for the both of you. Next time, update us always…ok? share share share…lol  (so that you won’t get tired of telling everyone your story…haha)

As for the other one…bad? Anu nga ba, Nina? Haha recently, things didn’t get better with her. The long overdue thing. It’s hard… but maybe it’s for the best for now. Might even do good for both for you… who knows…di ba? But hey! You still have us. You just have to be strong and enjoy what life brings you even if it’s hard. I’m sure you’ll get through with this. Cheer up!

There’s so much to say but you do not know what and how to say sometimes. Labo! Haha nahhh…I’m just glad to be with my friends. Gosh! We’re growing up na! (umm.. I think except with me on the area of working. LOL) and I’m happy with the experiences that is shared among us. All those stories to tell... We learn so many things from each other. And no matter what… how busy and away from each... and everyone of us, we all know that we are there for each other… aww… haha

Oh…a mix of everything?...ahhh...Just wanted to share this to all…an excerpt from the book by Bo Sanchez on How To Find Your One True Love

"… true love begins only when one falls out of love. Because true love has to be willed. There’s got to be a decision involved. While you’re in love with someone, love is involuntary. You just love. But when you fall out of love, and you still make a choice to love, that’s the beginning of true love."
