my-kind-of-photography? (updated)

You know you are seeing such a photograph if you say to yourself,
"I could have taken that picture. I've seen such a scene before, but never like that."
It is the kind of photography that relies for its strengths not on special equipment or effects but on the intensity of the photographer's seeing.
It is the kind of photography in which the raw materials--light, space, and shape--are arranged in a meaningful and even universal way that gives grace to ordinary objects.
-Sam Abell, "Seeing and Shooting Straight" by Sam Abell
...nothing...
nothing to do in some days...haha
nah, just trying to enjoy whatever i see...
you know, some little things...ordinary things that makes you appreciate it a lot...
and that somehow...someway...you can make it beautiful? hmmm...
and yeah, my kinda way out of the stressful everyday life too? haha

anyway, i just updated the album, my-kind-of photography?
here's the link! :
http://lousy11.multiply.com/photos/album/12

hope you guys check 'em out!
i'd really appreciate some comments...
and just want to learn more and improve on photography actually...
gah! i so want to have a DSLR! waaa
can some one give me that?! hahaha

--

i really love photography...
love taking pictures just about anything...and i just want to share it with you guys...
maybe you can say that too, quoting from Sam Abell,
"I could have taken that picture. I've seen such a scene before, but never like that."
just for inspiration...ya know...

Little things...

Having some time off with work, I was able to rest and be with my family.
It gave me time to see and think about some little things…and can be a big thing?
There have been some good and not so good things.

Hmm... not so good thing first?
- being at the cemetery. (it’s not that I don’t want to visit my relatives and my daddy, it’s just that…I don’t want to be there. I don’t want to visit my daddy coz I want him to be here always by my side and still with us… I guess, I am still not used to it. Not used to the changes…)
- hearing conversations about what’s happening around because of some changes or things that happened.
- hearing people close to you saying that we are a well-off family and we don't need anything makes me feel sad and cry a bit.
(that's a good thing? nah! for me, it’s not a good thing. i just feel that they are looking at us the wrong way....I guess, they just don't really know us...haaay. what we have now, what we have achieved as a family, those are the results of all the sacrifices and hard work of my parents.)

Good thing?
- Just being with the family...and praying...remembering family members who are with the Lord already.
- seeing my cousins and my pamangkins! (it takes some effort to travel and be together...)
- My cousin, Kuya Elmer / Paps, leaning on me so heavily on my back while we were resting on bed. (Actually, i didn't want it in some ways...but i know he is just being makulit and just being sweet? haha)
- taking several pictures with my family...cousins...pamangkins. (and sometimes, I am not in the picture coz I am the one taking it. grrr..Now, I think that's the not so good thing part...haha)
- practicing my photography on whatever thing I see at the cemetery...like the flowers, candles, cross...just anything...haha
- hearing CJ, my godson, says "gusto ko ung juicy!" (haha that's what he said when he was eating his chicken joy!)
- having a contest with CJ on eating Cheetos (hot flavor) together without drinking water! haha and seeing him all sweaty and getting red while I was giving him the Cheetos that are big, long and so red! haha laughtrip!
- seeing my niece, Kyla, approaching me and i don't know why...and whispers, "kadiriii..." (haha that's what we taught her...the "eww, kadiriii" expression..haha wala lang.)
- seeing and hearing the Lola's telling Kyla what to do…this and that…on how she’ll be posing for pictures.
- My cousin, Kuya Ernie / Pugs, tells me, "Irene, gumanito ka sa lupa. (demonstrating on hearing the ground) may maririnig ka na radyo. nasa AM pa." and I asking him, "baket? ahhh..." (Then I get his point) -- This happened when we were at the cemetery visiting my daddy. (Daddy has always a radio with him and listening to the news) that is such a nice little thing to hear. It just goes to show that they know my daddy, their Tito Rene, who was also a big part of their life even if he is not directly related to him. It also shows that daddy touched them in some ways coz I know they won't say that if he didn't, right? I guess he misses daddy too like all of us. It makes me happy.

ummm... these are some little things that happened to me these past few days...which makes me appreciate it.
It’s just also so nice to recall and reflect to these moments.
It teaches me to learn a few things...some makes me sad but some of it lets me be thankful also.

I guess…
Little things (good or not so good) are...
Yeah, can be a big thing…impact to you too!

[pahabol? good or not so good?
Knowing that he is moving here in the country? good? dunno...hmm.
But not having a team back there? not so good.
Labo! nuff about that...haha]

nah, i dunno...

it's been awhile that i haven't posted here.
well, there's nothing much to say actually. haha
hmm...nah...something to tell on just what happened?
about where i am now?
hmm...

i've been thinking and setting a time when i'll be leaving to a place that i really don't want i've been doing. i'd say maybe on march or april next year coz i am not really happy with what i am doing everyday though i really like the people around me.
but then...there!
last friday, it tells me its fun to stay...well, mostly because of the people (again, not because of what i'm into).
we all had lunch together...some of them went out to get some food ... got some orders and had take out at bugong.
come lunch time, we all ate our food together at our area with our boss.
it's so much fun just sitting together having a good lunch (sarap ng bugong food! haha) and telling funny stories.
where can you have this kind of thing at work? haha
i mean, you have a boss that i sooo good...laughtrip at times...really funny...and sobrang bait?
gah! she's really a good boss and a person to talk too.
also, other officemates are really funny too when you hear all their stories.
as for me, i was just sitting there..quietly listening to them and also laughing at what they have been telling.
i have to admit it...even though i've been not liking where i am now...that thing that happened, it was fun!
now, it's just getting hard to let go of those good people around you. right?

but the thing is...
what you are into.
what you are doing everyday.
are you happy with it?
nah, i dunno...

...Party On? Animo!

It’s 1am.

I can’t believe that I am even writing this blog write now. I’m pretty much sleepy now but I still want to write…haha labo! (ira kasi ehhh…haha)

Anyway, what is there to write about?

hmmm....

Nothing much.

Just an eventful thing just happened a few hours ago. Haha

Was able to go back to school after work. Janet and I were pretty much late (no more over overflowing food left for us like beforehaaay. haha)…but we were just in time to celebrate and join the animo party with Ira and Renee and of course, with the rest of the La Sallian community!

Gah! That was really something! Brings back the good all days!( Sooo…miss those days! Waaaa)

As usual, all the La Sallians where there! Jam packed Taft? Hehe

So…what happened? Laughtrip! I hope someone can upload what happened. As usual, the team had their funny speeches…and what else?! danced again with their song, because of you! Laughtrip…Rico, Cholo and Pj!

And plus…guess what?

Who else danced?

Coach Franz!

It was a different Coach Franz that I’ve seen. He was really funny. He danced along with the team and all his speeches were really funny too! Ang kulit!!!

But what I also wanted was the live webcast.

I actually wanted to go to both parties of DLSU and DLSZ. Good thing…I kinda felt a bit? The party in Zobel. Coach Boris and Joshua Webb (i really hope he'll be a Green Archer! haha) were able to talk to the team and the rest of the La Sallians at Taft.

That webcast was really something! Ang galing!

aww...It’s just so nice to see how we all celebrate together our victories.

I'm just greatful too that I was able to see their games that led to championships.

and be part of the games...and celebrations? haha

ahhh....such blessings...

Super fun! Super happy!

Indeed.

We’re back!

We’re one!

We’re #1 (again)!

…so, when’s the joint party of both teams? Hmm….haha

yeah...party on! Animo!

ah...bliss! -- Animo!

sunday.
lazy sunday? haaay.
i was thinking about the ballgame today.
honestly, i was't sure if we'll make it through in today's game.
janet offered me some tickets last night...but it was upper b. i didn't like the ticket...haha so i opted just to stay home and just watch.
but of course, no regrets. haha
i don't care about the ticket. what matters is the game that we had to win.

having my breakfast today, i was still thinking about the game. haha can't get over thinking about it. then as usual, i read my daily IHS...well...honestly, i wanted it to talk to me...and there! it did!

it says:
No situation is so tough that the Lord can't bring you peace. Trust in Him.

oh...something that i needed with what i was feeling.
but then again...something that i read at ap.com that the archers have to win today or else something is up on wednesday that is not good at all. haaay. rumors that make games suck talaga! haaay.

anyway...game time? oh, some awarding ceremonies first...
congratulations to DLSZ's Joshua Webb! you deserve to be in the mythical 5....how i wonder why the mvp in the juniors division wasn't even from the mythical 5? pwede ba yun? huh?
nuff about that...
congratulations to Rico and Jvee! you guys deserve it too!!! galing! at sikat na talaga... out of reach na sila talaga! (tama ba, ira?) haha

so...i said a prayer for the team...before the game.
i just hope it'll be a fair game...no fights...no injuries...
it'll be hard...but hope we can make it through.

game time!
what can i say? i was cheering all alone in out house like crazy...like i was at the venue. standing up while cheering...and just taking my seat when there are time outs...haha
but it was all worth it!

DLSU - 73
UE - 64

ah...bliss!
we won the game! ang galing nila!!! great coaching again by Coach Franz and the rest of the coaching staff!
love all the shots of Jvee!
Cholo's moves and defense!
Rico's rebounding and all around performance!
Ty's leadership...and shots!
and to everyone!, galing niyo!
shout outs also to Kish for his hardwork and better game! nice!
and to OJ for kinda sealing the game with his freethrows? yay! galing mo talaga sa freethrows? ako nagturo sa iyo? haha gah! i remembered again when you asked me to move forward and be closer to the ring and was trying to teach me with the freethrows at LEAP. haha
nuff about that!
and as usual...Bro. Bernie really gives great speeches. haha i just forgot. but indeed, this one is a good script that was written for us.

with the awarding after the game... yeah, i does really hurt for UE after sweeping the elims. but that's life? hehe but they really are a good team. but i guess we were just better this time?

now, 2 is greater than 14! ang galing talaga sa numbers noh? hahaha

and when i saw the people in the awarding...some of the board members of UAAP, oh ano na ngayon?! what can you say? silenced? after all that you have done to DLSU? haaay naku...yan kasi...hehe nuff about that ranting! haha

people say that this win of ours is a sign of vindication. and i think it is! after being suspended (for being honest), this is our time!

we're back!
we're one!
we're number one!
we're one La Salle!

i'm super happy and super proud again!
when the players were thanking people, i couldn't help but feel for Cholo who was in tears. haha nah, i just know what he had been through...so many injuries every year...and this year, he was at last healthy in his last year. he helped the team a lot... great leadership...shooting...and of course, his defense!
what else? ahhh... with Rico's interview...laughtrip na naman! he wanted to dance... making his moves like the video he did before! laughtrip! haha

congratulations to the Green Archers for winning the UAAP Men's Basketball Crown!
you deserve it! thank you!
and congratulations to all of us too, the La Sallian community!

Animo La Salle!
Glory to God!

now, when's the animo party? hmm... looking forward to it!
let's party!!!
*aww... i sooo miss the college days... good times!*

Sumigaw...kada.

*should have posted this i think two weeks ago... *

good song ... good lyrics...
nothing... i just like to post the lyrics of it.
i am kinda diggin' the song...haha
and kinda remembered the kada about it.
it fits too for a barkada (read on)...our kada too? haha
cheeky!
but nah... it's really good to see friends once in a awhile.
and yeah.. just like what Belay said...10 years of friendship naaa.
nice!
oh...one friday, i was able to see them too for Rubs' birthday celebration!
galing! Belay and i was able to convince Rubs about the treat! haha
too bad pranter and 3plet wasn't there... (it's ok, we'll be complete by Christmas... haha whatelse is new, di ba?)
we ate at Aveneto! sulit! food was great and the price too! haha
awww... it's really nice to see even so many things have changed, the friendship is still there... all of us are working already...and busy and all but still managed to see each other. and i think we even see each other more often now that we are working already compared when we were still in college...
and when we meet...had the usual kwentos ...asaran and all that can always make you laugh!
nuff about that...haha kelan inuman sa condo? hmmmmmmmm...haha
anyway, back to the song...that i like these days and kinda for the kada too...

aww.. cheeky!
here we go again...haha

here's the lyrics!

Sumigaw

by Rivermaya

Verse 1
Wag ka na munang mag-isip
Ng kung ano mang problema
Tanggap mo na'ng mundo'y mapaglaro
Minsan lang natatabunan ng saya
Bale wala kung enjoyin' mong mag-isa

Chorus:
Sumigaw, tumingin
Kung saan ka nanggaling
Harapin ang hamon ng mundong ito
(Handa ka na ba?)
Asahan mo na hanggang sa huli
Nandito lang kami

Verse 2:
Wag mong isipin na hindi ka naintindihan
Sasabayan ka naming kahit ano pa yan
Minsan lang natatabunan ng saya
Sama-sama tayo, halina't kumanta

Repeat Chorus:

Bridge:
Minsan tayo ay nadadapa
Kontra sa ihip ng tadhana
(Ayos lang yan)
Wag ka munang mag-alala
(Ayos lang yan)
Magkamali man, sagot kita
(Ayos lang yan)
Bukas ang pintuan ng barkada
Dito ka nalang muna

Outro Chorus:
Sumigaw, tumingin
Kung saan ka nanggaling
Harapin ang hamon ng buong mundo
(Handa ka na ba?)
Asahan mo na hanggang sa huli
Nandito lang kami
Nandito lang kami

best green bball weekend!

i think this is the best weekend for basketball for me and for the La Sallian community.
i can't still get over with what happened yesterday. again, i am super happy and super proud of the Junior Archers.

adding to that...was today's ball game!
DLSU - 65
ADMU - 61
yay! we won and going to the finals!

oh, super laughtrip! i read somewhere....what did coach franz said? 2 is greater than 3? hahaha ang kulit!
but i think it really is!
2-3? but we're still in the finals. waaa

oh well, it was really great to be back! and great to be part of the almost 23,000 people who were there at Araneta Coliseum!
back to the games! and watching games live with friends. how great is that?
good thing janet and i had tickets and was with our blockmates! saya na naman! love the school spirit! love the animo! nothing beats that! haha
first quarter pa lang.. super pagod na nga ako and janet... at init pa...haha coz of cheering it all sooo loud!
and again... what do you get when you watch games live? you get to see what happens with the crowd. asaran and all! haha
and with the banner that says...
#398 #488 Nuff Said...
haha... they were silenced? hmmm...haha
but it was such a great game again. good games for both teams...

thank God the Green Archers learned how to be composed in the end game...but the heck? can you just please learn from the Junior Archers with your freethrow shooting?! seriously! :p
anyway, shout outs to TY, Rico, Cholo and Jvee. galing!!! as well as with the coaching staff! great job!
hope we win the games in the finals!
goodluck!

gah! ain't that a great weekend?
