it's a dream...it's a blessing!

*my long overdue blog…*

After 27 years (24 years for me…hehe), our family have a new house (and I have my own room! Yay!).
I am proud to say that this is the fruit of all the hard work and sacrifices of my parents.
They thought what things we needed and when we needed it…
They let us finished our studies first before all these came together…

Our family had gone so many things just to build a bigger house (compared to the old one) for all of us. Some of our relatives and my friends (thanks for hearing me out!) knew what our family had gone through just to make this happen.

it's a dream...

Two weeks ago was so tiring…but a fun one! I felt my whole body aching…coz of doing some errands for the family and cleaning over and over again our house. (before and after party…)

Anyway, our family is not the type of having celebrations and parties at home. We’re happy already if we just have lunch or dinner out. Almost all occasions are just spent dining out. Actually, our initial plan was just to have a simple house blessing with our neighbors (who’s been really good…and always there for us. hehe). But every time we go to our province, every one asks us when will be the blessing of the house and tells us that they’ll be here. Oh…well…so we decided that for once, let’s have everyone here in our house and celebrate.

The house was still a bit messed up the day before the celebration. My cousin, who’s an interior designer, doesn’t even know where to start. Hehehe but he still did a good job with a limited time and the things that we had. And all that we did the whole day was to clean and fix the house…I think we finish at around 11pm already. It was really tiring…whole body was really aching…

The next day, the big day! Yay! Twas exciting! hahaha
Relatives from both sides of our family, neighbors and close family friends came…(it’s really nice to see everyone together…)
Everyone brought their share and did their part…
Our parish priest was there to bless our house…and oh, it was his birthday too. He was even surprised when we all sang for him with a cake. Hehe
Then after that, eating time!
We decided to have catering services…so, that everyone will just sit and have fun. Mommy tells everyone that it’s time for them to be the guests…and not always cook for us. Hehe
And it was just so nice to see that they enjoyed the celebration…the house…the food…the pictures… and just about everything…
Oh yeah…of course, I enjoyed taking pictures of everyone and playing with my nephews and niece even if my arms and back were hurting too coz of carrying baby Matt. Hehehe just love it!
Then the day after party, gah! General cleaning…clean clean clean… yeah, our bodies were aching…but it was all…bliss!

it's a blessing!

Behind all these celebration, can’t help but be emotional. just wished that Daddy was also there to celebrate with us coz I know this is what he wants for us.
and it hit me…at the start of the house blessing, Nanay Geling (daddy’s mother) was in tears.
Daddy has been with us with all the plans of a new house…yes, he saw the plans. It’s just sad that he did not see this in actuality and enjoy it with us. But I know he is happy now…for what we’ve all accomplished and for every one of us.
And oh yeah, the house? It’s the dream (simple….bigger…) house of my Mommy and Daddy for us…
Everyone knows it’s for the family…for everyone of us…but Mommy and Daddy says it’s for my sister and for me.
And yet again, kami pa rin ang nasa isip nila…

I am just so blessed and thankful of having great parents.
